Nerve Damage

Nerve damage is an injury which can occur during a personal injury accident.  In addition to tingling and lack of sensation, nerve damage can lead to weakness on account of muscles not contracting.

Common signs of nerve damage are:

  • Tingling ("pins and needles")
  • Clumsiness, or even paralysis (because muscles are not signaled to work correctly)
  • Reduced sensitivity to pressure
(Note: The area might be more sensitive to light touch than to firmer pressure.)
  • In some cases a person may actually experience no pain at all. The area in question may actually feel completely numb.

There are numerous tests that can be performed by the neurologist to check for nerve damage.  Although nerve damage is often times permanent, there are certain precautions a person can take to help the damaged nerves heal.  The Law Offices of Lloyd J. Nadel will fight to protect your rights and make sure you get the compensation and medication attention you need when nerve damage has occurred.

If you or a loved one has suffered nerve damage that you believe to be the result of a personal injury accident or medical malpractice, please contact the Law Offices of Lloyd J. Nadel at (877) NY LAW 50.
